I walked an additional 4 or 5 kns yesterday so that I could combine 3 stages into 2, and now I expect to be able to do 2 23.5km days AND gain a day, which

I can hopefully use to get to Finisterre...

ree

Breakfast, which was included with the room .. Not only do they serve a sweet apple and cinnamon jam, they also put out a bowl of savory creamed tomato, which was delicious on toast..

ree

On the way out of the town of Pito, I stop at the Palace of Selgas, where the grounds are meant to replicate Versailles to some degree. .

ree

The church in Pito...

ree

Guardians of the gate...

ree

Today will be more of the same... back to the woods..

ree

Camino tile..

ree

Cows are getting harder to find!

ree

Awesome view of a hazy coastline...

ree

Cool plant... I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't fake!..

ree

This is as close as I'll get to this beach...

Skyway everywhere...

ree

I stop to admire the view...

I'm about to stop at a bar in a little town for a coffee and radler, when I hear a commotion down the street. I am so happy when I wander down to find a Sunday market, in front of another bar! Of course I have to buy something, so I grab a deer chorizo sausage, and half a wheel of sheep cheese... both yummy, but the deer chorizo is really dry... Loved the guy roasting walnuts!

ree

Honestly, can't get enough of this...

ree

This house certainly stood out on the walk... as long as they are happy with it!..

ree

I spot this fountain in someone's yard.

Let's go for a walk in the woods...

ree

So pretty!

ree

Stone house, built in 1820...

ree

I know, I know, enough already!

ree

Spaniards love their flowers, and there is still so much colour for mid October...

I want to talk to this horse, but he only speaks Spanish!

One of my most favourite sounds...

ree

My day ends in mid-stage, in a place called La Bolleta, and the hotel is also my restaurant for the night. I begin with a bowl of seafood soup, which if I'm being honest, was every bit as good as the seafood broth I had a few nights earlier at the higher end restaurant...

ree

I follow that up with a pan-fried seabass, which is good, but has many, many bones...

ree

If the cheese flan is on offer, I will almost always take it...

Wrong date on the screen... should be Oct 15...

Distance Travelled Today- 24 k s

TOTAL DISTANCE TRAVELLED SO FAR- 630 KMS

Really nice pics from this days' travel. Looks like it's a bit cooler these last few days with it being overcast and all the fall leaves. Only about 10 days left on your walk! You've really come a long way!

Never too many pictures of the forest paths! Loved your descriptions of the scents along the way. It sounds like you’ve found your groove.

Seemed like better walking today. We don’t mind seeing trees and cows and old houses. You’ve become a historian.
